![]() ![]() The following year they brought it into all stores, and that’s kind of the early success of Loaded Questions. That year, 1997, Toys R Us decided to test it in about a hundred stores and it tested very well. I sold about 1,000 games, I got a lot of good media coverage. During the trip the game was pretty successful. You know, I’d splurge on a Motel 6 if I needed to. Very few responsibilities, so I was able to camp out and sleep cheaply. I was just out of college, I wasn’t married, no kids, like I am now. Shortly after that, I started driving around the country for 16 weeks selling the game out of the trunk of my car to mom and pop stores. Not too many weeks or months afterward I produced 5,000 copies of my first game, Loaded Questions. I thought the idea was great, I quit my job, invited friends over for pizza and beer. At the age of 23 I had an idea for a board game while I was working as a copywriter at an ad agency in Miami. Occasionally you'll get someone who doesn't want to actually play but they will enjoy listening to the questions and answers, and participating in the conversation.Eric Poses: I’m 35, I live in Miami, and I’ve been in the world of board games for 13 years now. Even the crabbiest person in the room gets pulled into it. We have never had anyone not enjoy this game. What one object in your home are you most embarrassed about owning?Īs you can see, the questions really run the gamut of silly to serious. If you were invisible, where would you go? If you owned an enormous yacht, what would you name it? ![]() What is the saddest movie you’ve ever seen? What do you consider to be the most dangerous creature on Earth? What is one thing you always wanted as a kid but never got? Who is the most famous person you have ever met? What do you consider the worst household chore? If you were to wipe one country off the map, which would you choose? What is the worst piece of clothing someone can wear? ![]() How many times do you normally hit the snooze button after your alarm goes off? What is the grossest thing you have ever done in public? It can be a real ice breaker for those who don’t know each other very well and some answers can really be thought provoking. Score is not really kept so there is no real winner, just lots of laughter and conversation. The person who read the question card then guesses who gave which answers. The person receiving the answer sheets shuffles them up somewhat and then reads off the answers. But you should be clever or sly with your answers so that it’s not obvious the answer is yours. ![]() The one rule is your answers have to be truthful you can’t out and out lie. Everyone else writes down an answer and passes their sheet to someone generally away from the person reading the question (so the names on the sheets can’t be read). Whoever’s turn it is to guess who gave which answers pulls a card, picks which of the four questions on the card they want to use and reads that question aloud. Each person puts their name on their answer sheet. But we have modified it for a bigger crowd that is so much fun and unintimidating to people who don’t often play board games.įirst of all, we eliminate the board, using only the questions (and the answer sheets provided with the game). The object is to move along the board, correctly guessing who gave which answers to questions and being the first to answer the final question at the end of the board track. With over 500 questions in four different “fun” categories, Loaded Questions tests how well you know your fellow players or how well you can figure them out. The official game play says it’s suitable for 3 to 6 players and that would be true if you play the game as intended with the board and pieces. It’s called “Loaded Questions” and it’s a blast. Many years ago I found a game that I purchased with the intent to gift to someone and ended up keeping for myself. ![]()
